1Problem
Virtual objects drifted away from the surfaces they were anchored to. The registration defect had survived two years of attempts with a single tracking approach.
2Decision
A hybrid: fiducial markers establish a reliable origin and scale, and plane detection keeps the content anchored as the camera moves. The app combines Unity 6000.1, a React Native shell with Viro React, and ARCore on Kotlin.
3Process as data
The project doubles as the case study of the thesis. Work ran in weekly Scrum sprints and burndown and cumulative-flow data were recorded, so the agile practices could be analyzed as behavior governed by rules.
